Yes, pizza’s part of the name, but Pizza Gallery and Grill at the Avenue Viera is so much more than a pizza parlor.
The restaurant, which originally opened 28 years ago in the 1900 Building in downtown Melbourne, is reworking its menu this month, adding appetizers, high-end entrees and — of course — unique pizzas.
“This is the biggest menu overhaul we’ve done in about 10 years,” said Jamie Meagher, who handles art curation and social media for the business. (Remember, “gallery” is part of the name, too.)
Meagher, who is also a fine artist, has worked for Pizza Gallery for almost 20 years.
The restaurant was among the first on the Space Coast to offer gourmet pizzas. Now that national chains are creating their own craft pizzas, Pizza Gallery is going the extra slice.
