What’s Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander

One thing I look for in an A+ employee is the ability and desire to learn and grow. That being said, it is imperative that as a leader of A+ player I am willing to learn and grow.

My major Achilles Heel is that I am just way too blunt. I could sugar coat it and say that I am honest and direct, but that is a bit like calling the Pacific Ocean a decent size body of water.

As I deal with my own growth areas it is important that I include the team in my journey. This demonstrates the attitude and behavior I expect from them as well as provides a healthy accountability.

My natural tendency is to hide my flaws from the team, but in hiding from this truth not only do I hinder my own personal growth but I call my integrity into question.

If I cannot see my own flaws clearly how can a team member trust me to help them address their own growth areas?
